Description

The First United Methodist Church of Lexington, NE will award a $3000 scholarship each year from the Pat Ruppe Scholarship Fund. Any student who is a member of the First United Methodist Church, who will be a collegiate junior or senior enrolled in any university or college is eligible to apply.

Consideration for the scholarship may be given only to a student who has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, shows qualities of good character and leadership, demonstrates an aptitude of academic achievement, and has participated in extra-curricular and community activities.

Each applicant should submit this online application by June 16, 2025 by 4:00 p.m. Members of the First UMC Scholarship Team will make their selections and award notifications will be sent. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Payment of the scholarship award will be made directly to the college as a credit on the student's account. The first half will be remitted in August, the second half in December. If the award is made to a graduate level student, we will work with the student to make timely payment for their schedule.
